Purchase Ledger Clerk
Location: Newark (Office-based)
Salary: GBP25k-GBP26k & enhanced holiday
Benjamin Edwards are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a family friendly and supportive large growing business. As Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will support the accounts team with day-to-day purchase ledger tasks. This role suits someone who is highly organised, has strong attention to detail and is comfortable managing administrative tasks. You will be required to work Monday-Friday 8:30 - 17:00.
The role of Purchase Ledger Clerk
Match invoices to delivery tickets and purchase ordersAssist with the processing of supplier invoicesCommunicate with sites and suppliers via phone and email to resolve discrepancies or obtain additional informationPerform regular supplier statement reconciliations to ensure all invoices and credits are accounted forResolve purchase invoice queries through both email and telephone communication with suppliers and internal departmentsMaintain accurate and well-organised filing systems for invoices and delivery ticketsSupport the accounts and purchasing team with ad hoc duties as required The ideal candidate for the role of Purchase Ledger Clerk
Previous purchase ledger/accounts payable experienceExperience with accounting software such as Sage 50 Accounts (preferred)Competent in Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel and Outlook To Apply
