Description

Connect Appointments has a new exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our prestigious retail and distribution client in Livingston, West Lothian.

This is a full–time permanent position where your role will be centred around supporting the warehouse team in delivering the divisional business objectives. This means managing our clients leading Distribution Centre and vast team of Warehouse Operatives.

This is a full–time permanent opportunity working back shift (Monday to Friday, 11am to 9pm), with a competitive salary of 33,500 to 35,500 per annum (DOE), plus a range of benefits.

As such, your main duties and responsibilities as a Warehouse Manager will include:

Reporting directly to the Operations ManagerManaging the team of managers/warehouse operativesMaking sure all reports are kept up to dateEnsuring the team maintains proper discipline in terms of productivity, timekeeping, and rest breaksMaintain high standards of health & safety and securityMotivate and direct staff to help them meet their goalsManage the warehouse team to ensure work has been allocated and completed to the highest standard within the required timescalesShowing a responsible attitude when challenged by staff to ensure you are committed and fully support the business's policies and decision makingAble to implement proceduresAssist with training and mentoring to create a dynamic and multiskilled workforceOrdering consumables supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levelsEnsuring we achieve all KPI's and maximising productivity and improve accuracyOperating flexibly and responding quickly to change and opportunities – actively demonstrating the mind set to get into action fast and make things happenBe a responsible key holder and will be put on a call out listYou will attend and support grievance meetings, complete RTW (return to work) forms and support other aspects of disciplinary hearingsTo be successful within this Warehouse Manager position you will ideally have previous experience of operating as a Warehouse Manager in a large and fast paced retail distribution operation. Combined with:

Able to demonstrate strong knowledge of warehouse operations (including stock/inventory processes)Proven experience of change management leadership with proven leadership abilitiesExcellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with various stakeholdersPrevious experience of utilising the latest technology in a distribution environmentPrevious experience of delivering supply chain projects desirable but not essentialMicrosoft office and data entry skillsPrevious experience within retail or FMCG is beneficialAble to manage and motivate a team of workersInterested?
