Are you calm under pressure, reliable, and looking for flexible work during term time? We are seeking a team of professional and responsible Exam Invigilators to support students during key examination periods across multiple secondary schools in Barnsley.

About the Role:

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and fair running of exams in accordance with exam board regulations. This is a flexible, zero-hours role ideal for those seeking term-time work, such as university students, retired professionals, or anyone looking to support young people in education.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up examination rooms and distribute exam papers and materials

Supervise students during exams, ensuring compliance with all exam regulations

Provide clear instructions and manage any queries in a calm and professional manner

Collect and organise completed scripts at the end of each exam

Report any incidents, breaches, or irregularities to the Exams Officer

About You:

We are looking for Exam Invigilators who are:

Reliable, punctual, and well-organised

Able to remain calm and authoritative under pressure

Comfortable working with young people in an educational setting

Flexible and available during exam periods (particularly November, January, May, and June)

Previous experience as an Exam Invigilator is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided
