Description
Mary is loving, loyal and family orientated. Loves children, playing, attention, walks, chasing leaves, chewing hoofs/horns/teddies, plays with bobbles, empty bottles and tennis balls. Will happily take a ball to the top of the stairs-let it fall and chase repeatedly 🤣
She is also very anxious, will bark at noises (great guard dog) will bark at other dogs, not aggressive but from unease. If a dog approaches she will snap but a warning rather than anger. We have had a dog trainer to help but I'm not keen on yanking the lead to make her cry so didn't follow through, maybe I should but my heart says no.
She absolutely loves a walk, off lead she is amazing (she goes straight back on if we see any dogs) her recall is spot on.
She has been brought up with children, adores them and family visit daily.
Reason for our decision...
I was working from home when we got her, that didn't go to plan so I got a part time job. They offered me full-time in the same week I started so we got a dog walker.
That didn't work because she would be stressed after they left and she got in a state. Our lovely neighbour now looks after her all day while I work but due to me being made redundant I can't afford to keep her or a dog walker. The jobs I've found (not many available at the moment) are alot less money than what I have now so would still not be able to afford care and she can't be on her own for long.
She isn't good with other dogs (not sure on cats) so all my family and friends can't help due to their pets.
We met mum, dad and grandad. We have dad's breed timeline certificate.
She's had a health check and is ideal weight and no concerns at all.
She has a lump on her side which got biopsied a few months back but it's hard skin (like a callous).
She has thinning fur but vets have no red flags because she isn't itching, they said it's seasonal.
She had her first season at 8 months and isn't spayed.
She is groomed once a month but not keen on the dryer, or the hoover for that matter 🤣
Now this is where I'm going to get fussy.
We are looking for someone that has a garden/outside space.
Doesn't work full-time so she isn't left on her own for long periods.
No other pets.
Has lots of time and patience for her and can offer her a steady routine.
Experience with the breed is a plus.
Can offer her a quiet life.
We are asking for a £400 rehoming fee. This is not about the money but reassurance the right home is found for her.
She will come with food, dishes, leads ,harnesses, coat, blankets, toys and everything a dog needs in life.
We would like to do a home check, walks, introductions over a period of time.
Would like her to goto a home that isn't a too far, I don't want her in a car for hours.
I know I'm fussy!
