Description
Large solid Elm beam or lintel for fireplace or doorway.
Cut in 1995 from a tree on an estate in the Borders and seasoned in a cool dry outhouse ever since.
Small amount of old beetle activity in some of the sapwood (see photos below).
Waney edges in places at the back.
Almost impossible to get such an item now.
Dimensions
71" long x 11" wide x 5 inches thick.
