SANZA Teaching Agency is hiring on behalf of a vibrant and nurturing primary school in Havering.
We're looking for a kind, patient, and capable Early Years Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a reception-aged child with Autism.
The pupil is currently pre-verbal, so we're seeking someone with a strong knowledge of speech and language development who can encourage communication through imaginative and engaging approaches.
As an early years teaching assistant, you will:
Offering consistent 1:1 assistance to a reception pupil with Autism
Supporting speech and language development on a daily basis
Planning and delivering fun, creative activities that promote communication skills
Using strategies to encourage interaction and expression
Collaborating closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external specialistsWe'd love to hear from you if you:
Have prior experience supporting children with Autism in a school environment
Understand early years development needs
Are familiar with pre-verbal communication tools (e.g., PECS, Makaton)
Are compassionate, patient, and dedicated to helping every child succeed
Can work independently and enjoy creating varied activities to support speech and language growth
