This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in engineering procurement, supply chain, or technical buying to play a key part in supporting this expansion. * Source, negotiate, and purchase mechanical, electrical, and fabricated components for bespoke machinery and capital equipment.

* Work closely with production, projects, and engineering teams to ensure materials are available to meet build schedules.

* Interpret engineering drawings and BOMs (Bills of Materials) to order the correct parts.

* Develop strong supplier relationships, negotiating best cost, lead times, and quality standards.

* Implement and maintain just-in-time delivery systems to reduce on-site stock levels.

* Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues relating to quality or delivery.

* Support continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives within the supply chain.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

* Experience as a Buyer / Engineering Buyer / Technical Buyer / Procurement Specialist within manufacturing, engineering, machinery, or capital equipment.

* Knowledge of engineering components, fabricated assemblies, subcontract manufacturing, and supply chain management.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

* Proven experience introducing or working with just-in-time delivery systems.

* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

* IT proficient, ideally with ERP/MRP systems experience.

* Strong communicator, able to work across multiple teams.

What’s on Offer:

* £34,000 - £37,000 pa (DOE)

* 1pm finish on Fridays

* 25 days holiday + bank holidays.

* Involvement in complex, bespoke machinery projects

* Supportive, engineering-led working environment
