Associate Architect – Process and Governance

Overview:

Join a leading retail organisation undergoing a significant technology transformation. We are looking for an Associate Architect focused on Process and Governance to support the delivery of scalable technology solutions aligned with business priorities. This role is key to ensuring architectural consistency, compliance, and robust governance across solution designs that impact millions of customers and colleagues.

Role & Responsibilities:

Lead and manage architecture governance forums, including design authorities and review boards.

Oversee the end-to-end process of solution design submissions, ensuring timely approval and adherence to architectural standards.

Maintain accurate documentation of decisions, actions, and outcomes from governance meetings.

Monitor and manage the demand pipeline for architecture resources, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Support governance activities and act as a delegate for senior architecture leadership when required.

Provide regular progress reporting on governance and process adherence to stakeholders.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.

A solid understanding of technology architecture principles, standards, and best practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to produce clear reports and documentation.

Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.

Proven experience working collaboratively across teams in a complex technology environment.

A proactive approach with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation.

Contract Details:

£500 per day (inside IR35)

London - Hybrid / 3 days per week

6 month contract
