Gothic Revival Style 19th Century Solid Oak Crafted Desk Green Man Motif Bobbin

Description

A great example of the Gothic Revival style, crafted from solid oak with a deep, naturally aged patina. The most prominent feature is the elaborate hand carving across the drawer fronts, which incorporates Green Man motifs mythological leafy faces surrounded by flowing foliate scrolls. The desk is supported by sturdy spool- or bobbin-turned legs, a classic design element that provides both structural strength and visual interest. The rectangular top includes a darkened inset writing surface.
