Bella is a 10-year-old German Shepherd who is looking for a very specific kind of home.

This is not a rehoming “to anyone.” Bella’s owner is now required to work away, and it simply isn’t fair for Bella to be left alone for long periods. She deserves more than that in her senior years.

Bella is well trained, deeply loving, and incredibly people-oriented. She enjoys shorter, gentle walks now that she’s older, but she has been remarkably healthy throughout her life with no ongoing health issues.

What Bella truly needs is near-constant company. She thrives with human presence and would be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time. This is non-negotiable.

In the interest of honesty (and a little amusement), Bella does have a mildly infamous past. In her younger years she was something of an escape artist, once liberating a neighbour’s joint of meat and on another occasion deciding she belonged in another family’s bed. With maturity, this behaviour has greatly softened, and she is now far more settled and sensible. However high fences and locked doors will be essential.

Bella currently lives with cats and children, but at this stage of her life we feel she would be better suited to a quieter home without them — somewhere calm, predictable, and centred around her.

This decision has not been made lightly. Bella is a wonderful dog who has given years of loyalty and love, and we are determined to find her a home that honours that.
