175 years old and in excellent condition!
A very unusual, beautifully carved and turned ,stately chair.
Featuring two heraldic lions flanking a family crest .
Also ,both sides have a lovely creeping flowering plant ,all carved into a hard wood.
It's actually very comfortable, which is not the way it looks.
Was owned by a member of staff at the British Museum .
Freshly upholstered with a new cushion of suede and new fireproof stuffing.
The back is also newly upholstered.
It is From the Netherlands or Belgium
It was made in the mid 19th century.
It's approximately 175 years old!
It will make a splendid talking point and is a remarkable piece of rare furniture.
(Must have been 150+ iron tacks
