Care Assistant Needed – Immediate Start in Lee Green, London SE12 0JH

I am urgently seeking a caring, reliable, and trustworthy individual to join my support team as a care assistant. This role requires someone fit and active and willing to work independently under my guidance.

I am a quadriplegic due to a spinal injury I sustained in a road traffic accident in 1994. I am paralysed from the neck down and require assistance with all daily physical tasks. I use a non-invasive ventilator, which is a straightforward yet essential device that allows me to live independently with your support.

**Essential Skills & Experience: **

- Experience in personal care and handling, particularly overhead hoisting to and from the bed into a shower chair and electric wheelchair, dressing, and manual handling.

- A basic understanding of, or experience with, ventilator support is highly desirable but not strictly required; training will be provided.

- Formal care qualifications or certifications are desirable but not mandatory. A willingness to learn and a hard-working, compassionate approach are most important.

**Main Duties: **

- Supporting all physical tasks, including personal care, dressing, and mobility assistance.

- Assisting with basic domestic tasks such as cleaning, washing, and ironing.

- Working regular hours from 8 AM to 3 PM, five days per week.

- Providing live-in cover for 4–6 weeks per year (dates arranged in advance).

**Pay and Benefits: **

- Total Annual Compensation: Approximately £35,000+ for this part-time position.

- Monthly Salary: Minimum of £2,500 for regular hours (8 AM – 3 PM, 5 days per week).

- Additional Pay: £1,600 per week during live-in work (4–8 weeks per year).

- Holiday entitlement: 5.6 weeks of pro-rata holiday pay.
