Counter Staff - Busy Fish & Chip Shop

We are a friendly local Fish & Chip shop located in G53 area of Glasgow. We looking to expand our brilliant team of staff.

We are looking for hard working, reliable and motivated people to work in our busy chipshop. Main duties consist of serving customers, taking orders, answering the phone and making pizzas.

The right candidate must be able to work a few shifts a week mainly Thursday to Sunday 16.00 - 22.00. Friday & Saturday nights are busiest so expectation to work majority of these nights.

Candidates must have good attitude, enjoy working in a fast paced environment and be able to work as part of the team.

Previous experience preferred but not essential.

We are looking for hard working, reliable and motivated staff to work in our busy Chip Shop in G53.

Main duties include:

- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service

- Ensure food safety standards are followed at all times

- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order delivery

- Keep the counter area, kitchen, and dining area clean and tidy.

- Clean cooking equipment, utensils, and surfaces regularly

- Preparing and making pizzas

- Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred

- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change

- Strong upselling skills to maximize sales opportunities

- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food safety guidelines

This position requires a friendly and outgoing personality, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and be able to work well as part of a team.
