Location: Portishead (Hybrid working)

Salary: Up to £35,236 per annum pro rata (£24,760) – salary will depend on experience

Hours: 26 hours per week (across 4 days, including Mondays)

We are delighted to be supporting a values-led organisation in their search for a Part Time Junior HR Advisor. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build their HR career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The role offers a great balance of flexibility and development — you’ll work 26 hours per week over four days, with Mondays as a required working day. Hybrid working is available, with office attendance in Portishead varying week-to-week depending on business and team needs.

The Role

As a Junior HR Advisor, you’ll provide proactive and professional support across the full employee lifecycle — from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, learning and development, and wellbeing. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your employee relations experience, with guidance and coaching from experienced HR colleagues.

This is a hands-on generalist role where you’ll be trusted to take ownership of tasks, contribute to projects, and help ensure colleagues receive a consistent, people-first HR service.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide HR advice and administrative support across all people processes

* Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and induction

* Support managers with HR queries and routine casework

* Contribute to HR projects, data reporting, and policy updates

* Help to deliver initiatives that support engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion

* Maintain accurate HR records and documentation

About You

* CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualified (or working towards) or equivalent experience

* Previous HR experience, ideally in a generalist role

* Some exposure to employee relations work would be beneficial but not essential

* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

* Confident communicator who enjoys building relationships at all levels

* Collaborative, adaptable, and values-driven in approach

* Competent with HR systems and Microsoft Office

Benefits

* 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)

* Enhanced pension scheme

* Private healthcare and wellbeing programme

* Cycle to work scheme

* Supportive, values-led culture with ongoing professional development

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, values a flexible and supportive culture, and wants to continue developing their HR expertise within a respected organisation
