1:1 Teaching Assistant - Secondary School (Temp to Perm Opportunity)

Location: Secondary School - Crawley

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Type: Ongoing Temp to Perm

Pay: £95 - £105 per day - DOE

The Role

We're looking for a compassionate, confident, and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a neurodivergent student within a welcoming and supportive secondary school environment. This pupil benefits from calm, flexible support that helps reduce anxiety and build confidence.

Providing consistent 1:1 learning assistant support in lessons and in a quiet, structured workspace.

Helping to break down learning into smaller, achievable steps.

Offering gentle encouragement and emotional reassurance throughout the day.

Communicating daily with parents, summarising progress and focus areas for home.

Collaborating with teachers and SENCOs to adapt tasks and promote positive participation.About You

We'd love to hear from you if you:

Have experience supporting students as a TA / LSA in a school setting.

Understand neurodiversity, autism, or PDA profiles, or are open to developing this knowledge.

Are patient, empathetic, and skilled at building rapport.

Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, students, and parents.
