Job Title: Design & Technology (DT) Technician - Secondary Schools Across Bexley

Are you a creative and practical individual with a passion for supporting learning in Design & Technology? We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic DT Technician to join a network of inclusive and forward-thinking secondary schools across Bexley.

The Role

As a DT Technician, you will play a vital role in helping students bring their design ideas to life. You will support the teaching staff by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment across areas such as product design, resistant materials, graphics, and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing, maintaining, and organising tools, machinery, and materials for practical lessons

Supporting teachers and students during lessons, offering technical advice and guidance

Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed at all times

Assisting in the design, manufacture, and repair of teaching resources and student projects

Managing stock levels and ordering materials when required

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a similar role within a school or workshop environment (desirable but not essential)

Strong practical and technical skills in materials, tools, and machinery

Knowledge of health and safety procedures within a workshop environment

A proactive, organised, and flexible approach to work

A passion for education and supporting young people's learning
