Description

SEN Nanny / Support Worker, TN6, East Sussex.

A fantastic opportunity for a childcare professional keen to train in complex care and gain experience within a family setting. £18.00–£20.00 gross per hour.

Location: Rural East Sussex (remote location – car essential)

Salary: £18.00 weekdays | £20.00 weekends (gross per hour)

Driving: Yes, and with access to your own vehicle to travel to and from the family home

Essential: Experienced childcare professional, keen to learn new skills in complex medical care

Start Date: ASAP

Hours Available: Friday: 2.30pm–7.45pm, Saturday & Sunday: 7.30am–7.45pm. School holidays: 7.30am–7.45pm (Please enquire with your availability)

Pets: Dog, cats, guinea pigs and chickens

About the Client: Benji is 11 and lives at home with his parents and siblings in a fully adapted property. He is cheeky, charming and loves gaming, sensory play, stories and long walks. Benji has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and complex medical needs including PEG feeding, stoma catheter care and airway suctioning. He is a full-time wheelchair user and uses Eye Gaze to communicate.

The Role: You will provide hands-on support with Benji’s daily care and activities while receiving full training in complex care. Duties include manual handling, tube feeding, suctioning, stoma care, supporting communication via Eye Gaze, following therapy plans and completing care notes. You’ll be part of a dedicated team supporting Benji’s independence and development.

Who This Job Would Suit: An experienced childcare professional looking to develop new skills in complex care within a family-home setting. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential. Driver with own car required.
