Residential Care | Supported Living | Learning Disabilities

New Bespoke Service – WCS

West Midlands based.

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Single-site campus (newly developed bespoke buildings)

The Opportunity

We are launching a new, purpose-built service comprising bespoke buildings on one site, delivering Residential Care and Supported Living for adults with Learning Disabilities and complex needs.

We are seeking a commercially astute, delivery-focused Registered Manager to register with CQC, mobilise, and lead this service from inception. This role is designed for a leader who wants genuine influence and reward, with the opportunity to participate in a profit-share arrangement linked to service performance.

This is a rare opportunity to build a service and a team from the ground up, embedding quality, compliance, and commercial success from day one.

The Role

You will have full accountability for the registration, mobilisation, and ongoing success of this new bespoke service, including the commercial performance and development of a high-performing team.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading the CQC registration and pre-registration process
Designing and implementing the staffing model, and building the team from scratch
Recruiting, developing, and retaining a stable, high-performing workforce
Creating a strong, accountable culture focused on quality, outcomes, and retention
Demonstrating a proven track record of achieving strong CQC outcomes
Taking ownership of commercial performance, including budgets, staffing costs, occupancy, and margin
Driving referrals, admissions, and placement stability through strong commissioner relationships
Preparing for and leading first-time and ongoing CQC inspections
Ensuring robust safeguarding, governance, and quality assurance systems
Using KPIs, audits, and data to drive continuous improvement and profitability
Supporting future growth and potential expansion of the site
