Job Title: Care Assistant (Home Care)

Location:Sutton Coldfield

Client homes within the local community

Full-time / Part-time / Flexible hours

Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Care Assistant to provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes. The role involves helping clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life while delivering person-centred care in line with individual care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing, and toileting

• Assist with mobility and the use of mobility aids

• Support with medication in accordance with care plans and company policies

• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when required

• Carry out light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping

• Offer companionship and emotional support

• Monitor clients’ wellbeing and report any changes to senior staff

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records

• Promote independence, dignity, and respect at all times

• Follow safeguarding procedures and health & safety guidelines

Requirements:

• A caring, patient, and respectful attitude

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliability, flexibility, and a professional approach

• Willingness to travel to clients’ homes

• Previous care experience is desirable but not essential (full training provided)

• NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)

• Right to work in the country

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
