About the Client/Child: Snap Care has supported Rosie and her family for over 8 years. Rosie is an intelligent and determined young woman who enjoys audiobooks, social media, fashion, make-up, online shopping, cinema trips and spending time at her family’s holiday home in Cornwall.

Rosie has a degenerative condition and requires 1:1 support, with 2:1 support during the day when needed. She is an electric wheelchair user and her condition also affects her hearing, eyesight and speech. Rosie communicates verbally in quiet settings and knows her own mind. She receives nutrition and fluids via PEG and takes strong pain medication. Rosie attends college weekly during term time and studies criminology through the Open University, requiring support with accessing learning materials and coursework.

The Role at a Glance: You will support Rosie mainly at weekends with personal care, PEG feeds, fluids and medication, pain management, repositioning, and manual handling using ceiling track hoists (in both the family and holiday home). Support also includes accessing activities, events and family life.

Some days focus on comfort at home, where Rosie enjoys quiet conversation, studying or online shopping. Overnight shifts may involve occasional assistance with repositioning, personal care or adjusting bedding, monitored via an audio monitor.

This Job Would Suit: An experienced Complex Care Support Worker confident in manual handling and medical care, able to provide availability four weeks in advance. A DBS on the Update Service is highly desirable.

Why You’ll Love This Role: Rosie is resilient, humorous and inspiring. Supporting her is both rewarding and meaningful, and further details are available on application.

Recruitment Process: Snap Care manages the full recruitment process, including shortlisting, interviews and employer introductions.

Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available.

Any gender requirement is a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
