About the Client/Child: Annabella (19) lives with her family in London and is at the centre of family life. She enjoys being outdoors, visiting parks, museums, and sensory-rich environments. At home she enjoys being read to, gentle interaction, and humour.

Annabella has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, well-controlled epilepsy, and a visual impairment. She is a full-time wheelchair user and requires full support with personal care, feeding, medication, and daily exercises. Her home is fully adapted with hoists and specialist equipment. Communication is through auditory scanning, a switch system, and facial expressions/vocalisations.

The Role at a Glance: This is a 7-on / 7-off rota role. During term time, mornings begin early to prepare Annabella for her 8:00 am school transport. After school (around 4:00 pm), activities follow a structured routine. She eats orally, which requires patience and unrushed support.

Evening routines include showering and hair washing, with bedtime preparation starting at 7:00 pm. Her PA remains on call overnight via monitor, though she typically sleeps through. Weekends and holidays are more relaxed, with later starts and community outings. The role includes extensive international travel, and the family plans to relocate overseas next year.

This Job Would Suit: An experienced SEN PA/Nanny who is patient, empathetic, and confident providing hands-on care within a professional household. You should enjoy cultural outings, nature, and creative interaction, and be willing to learn Annabella’s communication methods (including AAC/auditory scanning). The role offers downtime during school hours and suits someone seeking balance alongside study or remote work. Flexibility to travel is essential.

Why You’ll Love This Role: An exceptional opportunity to work in a well-supported environment with ongoing training, meaningful responsibility, and the chance to make a direct impact on a young person’s quality of life.

Recruitment Process: Snap Care is managing the full recruitment process, including shortlisting, recruiter interviews, and arranging employer interviews.

Please note: Unfortunately, we are unable to provide sponsorship for any of our vacancies. Where a specific gender is required, this is a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
