Sales Engineer

Description

Sales Engineer required for a join a well–established company based in Manchester that specialise in designing and building vehicles. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the sales team by completing quotes for our customers in a quick and timely manner. The role will be expected to contact suppliers, document quotes, write quoting documents and order acknowledgements in preparation to be sent out to the customer. This role will also involve customer and sales calls to ensure that the required information is clear and up to date.

Sales Engineer Job Overview

Completing sales quotes for customers and the sales team.Maintaining quotes from suppliers and supplier costing.Creating order acknowledgements in readiness to send to the customer.Tracking quote status and reporting on customer conversions.Creating engineering ready parts lists and specifications.Liaising with customers on product specifications.Ensuring that the information from sales to engineering is clear and concise.Signing of build documentation and specifications.Any other duties within your capability.

Sales Engineer Job Requirements

Previous experience as a Sales Engineer is required, with an understanding of bill of materials and the ability to translate a sold order into a format the factory can use to produce the finished product.Communication is at the heart of this role. You need to love being a main point of contact for many customers, employees and liaising with departments across the business.A resilient person is someone who has strong coping skills and can draw on these when life presents challenges.You enjoy taking on challenges, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, and leading teams through change to become established.To ensure personal and team success, being motivated is key.Time management is essential to ensure efficiencies and keeping to deadlines.

Sales Engineer Salary & Benefits
