Tob Title: Bookkeeper

Location: Near Harlow

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000

Contract: Full time / Office Based / Permanent

Hours: 9am - 5.30pm

We're working with a growing and ambitious business based in a beautiful rural location just outside Harlow. As they continue to expand, they're looking for a talented Bookkeeper with strong Xero experience to take ownership of their day-to-day finances.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company on the up, play a key role in their financial operations, and make a real impact as they scale. The role is fully office-based, so access to your own transport is essential.

The Role

As the go-to person for the day-to-day finances, your responsibilities will include:

Maintaining accurate ledgers and financial records

Reconciling bank and credit card statements

Preparing and submitting VAT returns (MTD compliant)

Processing payroll, pensions, and NI contributions

Producing monthly management reports

Liaising with HMRC and external accountants when required What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you must have solid experience using Xero in a UK business setting. The successful candidate will also bring:

A minimum of 3 years' bookkeeping experience

A confident, independent approach to managing finances

Strong understanding of UK VAT and payroll requirements

High attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude

AAT qualification or similar (desirable)

Own transport - the office is not accessible by public transport What's on Offer
