Job Title: Commercial/Procurement Officer

Job Type: Permanent

Start Date: ASAP – depending on security clearance

Salary: DOE

Location: Bristol, UK

Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday – 2–3 days per week in office/onsite

What You'll Do

Develop procurement and commercial documentation (e.g. strategy, tender documents etc.), leading where appropriate.

Manage contracts end to end

Manage supplier performance

Identify and mitigate risks

Support tendering and negotiation activity

Ensure governance and compliance

What You Will Bring

Experience in procurement or contract management

Some experience of managing risks and supplier performance

Understanding of project/programme management

Strong commercial judgement

Qualifications

Professional qualification(s) in Business, Procurement/Supply Chain Management, Law, Project Management or a similar relevant discipline, or an equivalent level of relevant experience. This may include being part way through the study of these qualifications.

Trained in, or holds a sufficient level of experience in public sector procurement.

Bonus Skills

Government procurement experience

Knowledge of NEC, FIDIC or JCT

UK National Security Vetting Status – All candidates must be able to obtain SC clearance
