I've been working with Tom for a couple of years now and it has been fantastic.
Starting out, I was unsure where to begin with strength training and building programs & habits that would help me progress. Our first session was an honest discussion about goal setting, areas that needed support, understanding how we both worked & could collaborate, and looking holistically at the environment my changes would need to be part of.
Tom is great at reviewing your overall needs and can hone in on specific areas that need support. He builds programs that take the guesswork out of planning and progress - the programs are varied enough that they are interesting yet static enough to ensure I'm building good foundations. He makes sure that your form is good and ensures you understand the aims and mechanics of each movement.
Tom conducts periodic check-ins so we can make sure we are aligned in what I need from the programs he builds, and he is flexible when it comes to the session execution. He is open in discussing specific needs as they change and seems to always have a back-up if there are challenges that need to be addressed or worked around that day. Tom is a good listener and makes sure your feedback is understood and the program adjusted as needed.
Tom is also extremely supportive. You feel like you're working out with a mate - one that understands how to motivate you and keep you on track. He also checks in with you before starting each session - life can sometimes get in the way of being mentally ready to start a session and Tom always makes sure you're ready to do the work needed. The sessions fly by very quickly, always light & fun but at the same time focussed and clear (and a challenge!!).
I get a lot out of working with Tom - this is the first time I've been able to consistently maintain any kind of exercise programme and I have gained a lot of confidence in how equipment is used and how I can adjust my own sessions (which he can also help support) when I don't have equipment. I'm also no longer intimidated by the gym or the equipment and that's down to his ability to put you at ease and focus on your own development.
Tom keeps the wellbeing of his clients at the heart of his sessions and he actively looks for ways to best support you. I always feel like he will take seriously any challenges that I'm experiencing especially with physical pain as well as mental health and energy.

When I first started with Tom, I was struggling with routine and fat loss. My main goal at the time was to drop body fat and then start building my running, but I lacked the structure and accountability to stay consistent.
I’ve been working with Tom since around Covid, and I knew from the beginning he could bring the right mix of structure, expertise, and support across both training and nutrition.

Before starting with Tom, I had no real understanding of fitness or nutrition. It was mainly fad diets and walking into a gym aimlessly not knowing what to do so would never go through lack of confidence, anxiety and motivation! I found Tom online, after deciding I wanted to start a fitness and wellness and have a better understanding of nutrition, so I booked in for a call with him. From the first call, Tom made me feel so comfortable, he wasn’t pushy, he was positive and friendly.
Nearly two years later I’m still working with Tom! His holistic approach has helped me so many ways, with routine, mindfulness, sleep etc, as well as pushing me in the gym and checking in to make sure I’m on track, and when I have had days where I’m stuck or not feeling motivated he will always talk through it with me and get me back to where I need to be.
Tom is the best PT, he is supportive, patient, motivational, friendly, a wealth of knowledge which he is always expanding and teaching. Working shifts is difficult but the one thing that has always stood out for me, was Tom taking time to look at how shift work effects sleep, routine, fitness etc and being empathetic snd patient with me!
My mindset has completely changed since working with Tom. I’ve broken bad habits, I am so much more confident, in and out of the gym. My clothes are smaller, I love going to the gym and all round has massively improved my mental health!

I have been going to the gym with Tom for about 18 months. When I started I was recovering from a broken shoulder, had bad knees, bad ankles, back trouble and was in a fair bit of joint pain which in turn had led to mobility issues. Tom devised sessions which involved much needed shoulder work, but also building up strength in the legs and back. From a starting point where I felt there was very little I could do Tom worked on building my confidence as well as the physical strength. While there are common threads and exercises in each 6 week block no two sessions are the same always inventive, interesting and tailored to my needs and abilities but always requiring that little bit of extra effort from me. The atmosphere in the gym where Tom runs his sessions is very welcoming, friendly and encouraging and is really well resourced. Tom's preparation for sessions, positive attitude and detailed constructive feedback and analysis of progress provides great support and encouragement and makes for a fantastic gym experience
