IDEAL MEGISTO GENTS MTB HYBRID 21 SPEED 47cm ALUMINIUM FRAME

Description

Ideal Megisto - made in Greece. This example is in good condition although has some minor cosmetic scuffs, marks and signs of use here and there, see photos. It has been thoroughly rebuilt, with all the relevant bits lubed and adjusted as required. It's mostly designed for road use, and is unsuitable for hard MTB riding over rocky terrain and jumps, but it might still be gently ridden over smooth trails or grassy fields and so on.

Numerous parts were replaced:
New front tyre - KENDA EUROTREK 40 - 622 700 X 38C.
New KMC chain with EZ link.
New ball bearings for the headset.
New bottom bracket bearings - this is a Eubico sealed bearing type which has replaceable bearings, 2 x 6903RS.
New Velo shifters and shifter cables, the left one is micro adjustable to allow trimming.
New RockBros platform pedals with sealed bearings - these have removable studs which I removed to save my soles when test riding this, they are included although they are probably not needed for road use.
New Promax V brake lever arms - the levers by the wheels, not on the bars.
Replacement used saddle, a Bontrager with a comfortable WebSpring rather than a solid base, the saddle chassis itself isn't sprung to suit the seatpost with suspension, 190mm wide x 280mm long.
Replacement used front forks - custom upgrade originally from a Ridgeback hybrid, carefully chosen to fit correctly, and are considerably lighter than the original suspension type, which also absorbed pedalling effort.

Shimano FC-TY33 crankset, 3 cogs 28, 38 and 48 teeth, 170mm alloy cranks.
Shimano SIS top swing front derailleur.
Shimano Altus rear derailleur.
Shimano screw on type freewheel, 7 cogs from 14 to 28 teeth.
Presta valves in the tubes which are fitted - you might need to find an adapter if you only have the more common Schrader tyre inflaters.
Rear tyre, not much wear visible on the tread - Kenda Sport Cruising 42 - 622 700 x 40C
