Description

Job Title: Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home

Location: ST21 6JU

Salary: 50,000 – 55,000 + 10% Performance Bonus

Contract Type: Full–time, Permanent

About the Role

We are recruiting for a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a children's residential home. This is an excellent opportunity for an established Manager or an ambitious Deputy looking to step up into a leadership role within a supportive, growth–focused organisation.

You will be responsible for the overall management of the home, ensuring high–quality care is delivered while maintaining full regulatory compliance and striving for Good or Outstanding outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day–to–day running of the home in line with Ofsted regulations

Lead, manage, and develop a high–performing staff team

Ensure the home provides safe, nurturing, and child–centred care

Drive quality standards to achieve and maintain Good or Outstanding ratings

Manage budgets, staffing, and operational performance

Lead on safeguarding and ensure best practice is embedded

Build strong relationships with local authorities and external stakeholders

Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections

Requirements

Experience within a Good or Outstanding–rated children's residential service

Background working with children with EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) and/or LD (Learning Disabilities)

Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager ready to step up

Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children's home legislation

Proven leadership and team management skills

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards) desirable

Working Pattern

173 hours per month (Monday–Friday)

On–call rota (approximately once every 2 weeks)

Salary & Benefits

50,000 – 55,000 basic salary

10% performance–related bonus
