Service Engineer – Field based
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Service Engineer to support the maintenance, repair, commissioning, and optimisation of process cooling systems across a range of industrial environments. The successful candidate will be a proactive engineer with strong fault–finding skills and a customer–focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on process cooling systems. Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control system faults. Commission cooling equipment in line with specifications and industry standards. Conduct system inspections and performance assessments. Provide technical support and guidance to customers on–site. Required Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience working on process cooling systems. Strong fault–finding and repair experience across refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems. Knowledge of pumps, valves, heat exchangers, free coolers, adiabatic coolers, and associated controls. Experience carrying out commissioning, maintenance, and breakdown response activities. Full UK driving licence and formal engineering qualification. Desirable Skills
Health & Safety qualification or relevant experience. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers. Excellent documentation and reporting skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
