A leading engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team, supporting a major aerospace programme focused on complex, ageing aircraft fleets and high-profile customer operations. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end project delivery within a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

This role will suit a proactive, organised project professional with strong stakeholder management skills and experience leading engineering-focused work packages from initiation through to closure.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage a portfolio of engineering projects to agreed time, cost and quality targets.

* Lead the full project lifecycle, including launch meetings, milestone tracking, CPD reviews and monthly progress reviews.

* Coordinate closely with Engineering, Programme, Design Office, Airworthiness, Procurement and Customer Support teams across multiple sites.

* Oversee planning activities for the Serial Design Office and directly manage external suppliers, partners and subcontractors, including PO raising and tender processes.

* Maintain budgets, forecasts and bookings to support annual operational plan objectives.

* Regularly report on project status, risks, dependencies and escalations to internal leadership.

* Facilitate cross-functional meetings, ensuring strong communication and alignment across the programme.

Skills & Experience Required

* Proven project or programme management experience within engineering-led environments (aerospace preferred).

* Hands-on experience managing large, complex engineering projects with multiple stakeholders.

* Strong working knowledge of project management tools; experience with Zoho, SAP (including raising PO’s) and Google Workspace is highly desirable.

* Confident managing budgets, forecasts and supplier performance.

* Excellent communication, reporting, coordination and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to work autonomously, drive progress and influence cross-functional teams.

* Any experience with fuel systems, wing structures or aircraft-related engineering is an advantage but not essential.

* Project management qualifications or equivalent experience welcomed.

Additional Information

* Security Clearance: BPSS+ required (processed by the client).

* Working Pattern: 35 hours per week, across 4.5 days (flexible between 7am–7pm).

* Duration: Contract until 31/12/2026, with strong likelihood of extension.

* Travel: Occasional. xjnqpsq

* Interviews: 1-stage virtual, possible onsite follow-up.
