Description
We are actively recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E) for a leading logistics contractor in Portsmouth. Operating out of the main depot in Southsea, you will perform trunking runs and depot deliveries. All candidates must possess valid eligibility credentials and have the right to work in the UK. Key Duties:
- Conduct safe driving operations of Class 1 vehicles, navigating delivery routes.
- Conduct thorough vehicle pre-use safety checks and report any defects to transport.
- Monitor cargo security, ensuring straps or containment bars are fitted properly.
- Adhere strictly to EU driver hours, tachograph regulations, and highway codes.
Candidate Requirements:
- Valid UK Category C+E driving licence.
- Valid DQC (CPC card) and Digital Tachograph card.
- Minimum 12 months commercial driving experience in HGV Class 1 vehicles.
- No more than 6 penalty points on licence (no active DR/DD convictions).
