Part-Time Housekeeper

Description

We are seeking a high-energy, proactive, and dependable Housekeeper to manage the day-to-day upkeep of our family home. This is not just a cleaning role; we are looking for a professional who takes pride in their work, possesses excellent initiative, and can "own" the household tasks so that the home runs smoothly without the need for constant supervision or micromanagement.

Hours: Min 16 hours per week (Spread over 2 days; specific days to be agreed)

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards across the following areas:

Cleaning & Presentation: Comprehensive cleaning of all rooms to a high standard, ensuring the home is consistently tidy and well-maintained.
Laundry & Wardrobe Management: Managing the full laundry cycle including washing, drying, high-quality ironing, and returning all items to their correct wardrobes/drawers.
Household Initiative: Actively "spotting" tasks that need doing (e.g., changing lightbulbs, noticing maintenance issues, or deep-cleaning areas) without being prompted.
Errands & Logistics: Running local errands (such as grocery shopping), taking/collecting deliveries, and providing occasional transport for family members to/from the local train station.
Property Support: Meeting and overseeing tradespeople or contractors on-site when required.
Pet Care: Occasional dog walking as requested. Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

Self-Starter: A high level of initiative and the ability to plan your own workday effectively.
Experience: Previous professional housekeeping or domestic management experience with impeccable references.
Efficiency: Ability to work at a good pace while maintaining attention to detail.
Driver: Must have a valid manual/automatic driving license and your own reliable vehicle.
Locality: Must live within a short commute of Farnham.
Flexibility: While the core hours are 16 per week, a degree of flexibility to help with additional hours or ad-hoc tasks is highly valued.
