We are working with an established and forward-thinking organisation within the UK energy sector to recruit a Gross Margin Manager to join their Finance team.

This is a key role responsible for the accurate measurement, reporting and analysis of gross margin across electricity supply activities. You will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of revenue and costs, identifying opportunities for improvement and providing meaningful commercial insight to the wider business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead month-end gross margin reporting, ensuring accurate matching of industry costs and revenues. Calculate and review unbilled revenue, including underlying assumptions. Validate customer billed volumes against settled volumes and investigate discrepancies. Analyse achieved margins against pricing assumptions and identify potential revenue leakage. Review and improve existing gross margin reporting processes. Work closely with third-party system providers to implement reporting and process improvements. Partner with Commercial, Operations, Sales and IT teams to ensure processes and systems impacting gross margin are effective. Support the development of reporting and analysis for emerging energy transition products, including batteries, solar and dispatchable load. About You

You will be a highly analytical and commercially minded finance professional with:

Strong gross margin experience in a similar role. Experience within the UK energy supply industry. Full accountancy qualification (CIMA / ACA / ACCA). Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with strong Excel capability. Proven experience improving processes, controls and reporting. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate across different teams. A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
