Online Maths, Biology and Chemistry Tutor - Up to Advanced Higher

Hi! I’m Helen, a private tutor with over 7 years full-time experience, offering lessons online for students in Scotland. I hold a 1st Class BSc (Hons) in Natural Sciences (Chemistry), and currently tutor maths, biology and chemistry up to Advanced Higher level.

My first experience as a tutor began over 15 years ago during Sixth Year at school, when I was asked by the chemistry teachers to assist a fellow student who was taking a crash Higher. Since then I have gone on to tutor maths, biology and chemistry to over a hundred different students, and now work full time doing so.

My lessons not only focus on gaining understanding of the topic but also aim to build confidence, especially when it comes to approaching exam-style questions. I believe I am an understanding, patient tutor.

My current rates for sessions are (per hour):
- National 5 (and below) £35
- Higher £40
- Advanced Higher £45

I use Zoom for my lessons and own a laptop with good internet connection and a graphics tablet to aid in note taking and demonstrating working.
