We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work efficiently at heights. Responsibilities

Install new roofs using a variety of materials such as tiles, shingles, and metal sheets
Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components to ensure structural integrity and weatherproofing
Inspect roofs regularly to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance
Work closely with project managers and clients to ensure specifications are met within deadlines
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation and repair tasks
Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers
Follow health and safety regulations rigorously to minimise risks associated with working at heights
Assist with other construction-related tasks such as carpentry, masonry, or plumbing as required

Skills

Proven experience in roofing installation and repair techniques
Strong knowledge of carpentry, masonry, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, and construction painting is advantageous
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in roofing and general construction
Ability to fabricate custom components when necessary
Good organisational skills with the ability to plan work efficiently
Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship
Physical fitness and stamina to work at heights and lift heavy materials safely
Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
