Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate installation and repairs
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised tools to complete tasks efficiently
Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues before they become major problems
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during installation or repair processes
Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters or electricians when necessary for complex projects
Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each job
Ensure all work complies with local building codes and health & safety regulations

Experience

Proven experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, or repair within residential or commercial environments
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and basic understanding of carpentry principles
Ability to perform basic maths calculations for measurements and material estimations
Experience with heavy lifting tasks in a construction or maintenance setting
Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving (preferred but not essential)
