Description

Are you an experienced and compassionate care professional looking for flexible, meaningful work? We are currently recruiting Supply Support Staff to support children and young people with complex needs in specialist schools across North Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

This role is ideal for someone who is available at short notice and looking for day-to-day or flexible part-time work in a rewarding, school-based environment.

About the Role:

As a Supply Support Staff, you will work within SEN school settings, supporting students with a wide range of complex needs, including physical disabilities, medical conditions, autism (ASC), and communication difficulties. The role includes personal care, mobility support, and helping students engage safely in learning activities.

You’ll be working with pupils aged from primary to post-16, adapting to different age groups and support needs across various classes and settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide personal support in line with individual care plans

Work closely with teachers and support staff to create a safe, engaging environment

Support with feeding, toileting, and use of specialist equipment

Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

Be available for short-notice, day-to-day assignments depending on school needs

You Must Have:

Previous experience working in a care, SEN, or educational setting

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)

A flexible and reliable approach, with the ability to work at short notice

A calm, caring, and patient nature, with confidence supporting complex needs

Availability to work term-time, within school hours, on a supply/cover basis

A full driving licence and accedd to a vehicle
