Description

Could you be the spark that lights the way for a child with special educational needs?

Axcis Education is proud to be working on behalf of a large and well-established SEND school in the St Helens area, which caters for children aged 4 to 14 with a wide range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and complex medical or learning needs.

We’re currently recruiting multiple dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistants to work across different classes, providing tailored support to individual children who need it most. This is an incredibly rewarding role for someone who is passionate about inclusion and committed to making a real difference.

What You'll Be Doing:

•Supporting children on a 1:1 basis within the classroom setting.

•Helping to implement individualised learning plans designed by teachers and therapists.

•Assisting with communication, behaviour regulation, and emotional support.

•Encouraging progress through engaging and creative support strategies.

•Working as part of a committed and welcoming team of professionals.

What We're Looking For:

•A patient, compassionate, and child-centred approach.

•Experience working with children with SEND is beneficial, but not essential — the right attitude is key!

•Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic school environment.

•Confidence to support children with a variety of needs across different ages and abilities.

Why Join This School?

•Hourly pay from £13.50 per hour

•A supportive and inclusive school community with a strong commitment to staff and pupil well-being.

•Access to free courses and qualifications for professional development.

•The chance to be part of a team that truly values every child and celebrates every small step of progress.

If you're ready to play a vital role in a child’s educational journey and make every school day count, we’d love to hear from you
