SEN Teaching Assistant – Shepperton
Shepperton Full–Time Multiple Positions Available
About the School
Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a number of SEN Teaching Assistants to join supportive and welcoming schools across Shepperton.
These schools support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), Speech & Language Difficulties, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and SEMH needs. Staff are dedicated to providing a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can develop both academically and personally.
With multiple vacancies available, these opportunities are ideal for individuals looking to gain experience within SEN education or further develop their existing skills.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them access learning and achieve their individual goals.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting pupils with SEN both inside and outside the classroomDelivering 1:1 and small group interventionsEncouraging positive behaviour and student engagementAssisting with academic, social, and emotional developmentSupporting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activitiesHelping implement EHCP targets and individual support plans

Experience & Qualifications
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirableSEN, education, support work, care, youth work, or mentoring experience beneficialPatient, resilient, and proactive approachStrong communication and relationship–building skillsA genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
To Be Eligible For This Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UKHold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain oneProvide two professional child–related references covering the last two years
