Reeson Education are currently recruiting for a Post 16 SEN TA to join a well–regarded special needs school in Harrow. This is a full–time, temp–to–perm Post 16 SEN TA position starting in September.

The school provides education for young people with additional learning needs, with a strong focus on developing life skills, independence, communication and preparation for adulthood.

About the Post 16 SEN TA role

As a Post 16 SEN TA in Harrow, you will work closely with students aged 16–25, helping them develop practical skills that can be used both within the school environment and in the wider community.

The Post 16 SEN TA will support students with activities such as:

Developing practical life skillsCommunication and social skillsTravel training and community–based activitiesPreparing for employment and further educationPersonal organisation and daily routinesFunctional English and MathsDeveloping confidence in practical settingsSupporting students to work towards their individual targets

The school is seeking a Post 16 SEN TA who has:

Previous experience working with young people with SENExperience within a school, college, care or youth settingAn understanding of additional learning needsGood communication skillsA calm and consistent approachThe ability to follow individual learning and behaviour plansAn interest in developing practical and life skillsThe ability to work effectively as part of a wider school teamExperience working with students with SEN, ASD, MLD, SLD or complex learning needs would be beneficial, although relevant transferable experience will also be considered.
