Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Newham

About the role:

Area: Newham

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Long term/Temporary

Salary: £105 - £120 per day

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00PM - 4:00PM

Brief description:

Prospero Teaching is currently on the lookout for SEN Teaching Assistants to join a secondary school in the East London area who are confident in supporting students with special educational needs in a secondary school setting , specifically seeking individuals who have strong SEN experience and have dealt with a wide range of needs. In addition, we value strong communication skills and a dedicated approach to supporting student's learning journeys. As a teaching assistant, you will be working in a secondary school environment with 11 - 16-year-old's with special educational who require continuity, positive role models, patience and understanding.

About the role:

You will provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential. Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to ensure tailored support is delivered effectively.

We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:

Support pupils with a range of SEN needs including ASD, ADHD and speech/language difficulties

Help implement EHCP targets and behaviour plans

Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment

Maintain professionalism and safeguarding standardsRequirements -

The ideal candidate would have:

Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting

A calm, patient and adaptable approach
