SEN Teaching Assistant - Ful time - September 2025

Teaching Personnel are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work in an inclusive and nurturing specialist provision in the King’s Lynn area. This setting supports children and young people who, for various reasons, are not able to attend mainstream school, offering a tailored curriculum that meets individual needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging and supportive learning experiences for students in Key Stages 3 and 4. Mornings focus on core subjects such as phonics, literacy, and numeracy, while afternoons include creative subjects and enrichment activities. Class sizes are small, with around 50% student attendance at any one time, allowing for a personalised approach.

This role requires patience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude. The start of the day can be challenging, with some students arriving dysregulated, so confidence in implementing effective regulation strategies is essential.

Although the students are secondary age, the role could also suit confident primary practitioners who are comfortable working within a flexible and alternative curriculum.
