Link3 Recruitment are hiring a caring and experienced KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive SEN primary school in the NG8 area of Nottingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and behavioural challenges, particularly those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

About the Role

We work with a number of local schools who require additional support staff on a day–to–day, short–term, or long–term basis.

This particular position is a full–time SEN Teaching Assistant role in KS2, offering the opportunity to provide meaningful, consistent support to children with a range of learning and behavioural needs.

Your Role Will Include

Providing 1:1 and small group support to KS2 pupils with SENImplementing EHCP targets under the guidance of the SENCO and class teacherSupporting children s academic, emotional, and social developmentUsing consistent, supportive strategies to manage challenging behaviour positivelyEncouraging independence, confidence, and inclusion within the classroom and wider school communityCollaborating closely with class teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to ensure tailored and effective supportAssisting in planning and delivering engaging, curriculum–linked activities suited to individual learning needs What We re Looking For

We re looking for someone who:

Has experience supporting children with SEN and behavioural needs, ideally in a KS2 settingCan confidently deliver individualised EHCP targetsRemains calm, empathetic, and resilient in challenging situationsUnderstands child development and how to adapt learning to meet diverse needsIs proactive, positive, and builds strong relationships with children and staffWorks well as part of a supportive team and communicates effectively with colleagues and familiesHolds a Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (desirable)Has an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply for one)Holds a minimum of GCSE qualifications (evidence will be requested) Safeguarding & Compliance

Right to Work:

All candidates will be required to demonstrate a valid Right to Work in the UK as part of our safeguarding and compliance checks.

DBS:

All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) prior to starting work, if not already in possession of one registered on the Update Service.

The cost of a DBS would be covered by the applicant.
