Job Title: SEMH Teacher

Location: Wirral

Start Date: September

Salary: £140 - £220 per day

Can you deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum while adapting your teaching to meet individual learning needs?

Do you have a subject specialism and the confidence to take responsibility for leading and developing a subject area?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an independent specialist provision based in Wirral, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs in a small and supportive learning environment. The setting has a ‘Good’ OFSTED rating and provides individualised learning programmes and bespoke support, with a strong focus on positive relationships, engagement, life skills and helping pupils progress.

The school is looking to take on a passionate SEMH Teacher from September on a long-term basis, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position for the right SEMH Teacher. The successful SEMH Teacher must be confident teaching across the curriculum and adapting lessons to meet pupils' individual needs, while a subject specialism and the ability to lead and develop a subject area would be highly desirable.

The successful SEMH Teacher will have:

QTS or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification

Experience teaching or supporting pupils with SEMH and additional needs

The ability to confidently teach across the curriculum

A subject specialism with the ability to lead a subject area is desirable

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

A patient, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching
