Reception/Year 1 Part Time Teacher

A Primary school located in Swadlincote, DE12, are currently recruiting for a mixed Reception/Year 1 teacher to join them until the end of the academic year. This is a job share and the days are fixed to a Thursday and Friday.

They are looking for a teacher who has prior experience and is confident in the planning, preparation, and assessment of children. The successful teacher must be dedicated, enthusiastic and have a drive to make a positive impact on the start of a child's education. You must have experience teaching in EYFS/KS1.

Main responsibilities include:

–Delegating roles to TAs

–3 form entry school so shared planning with other year group teachers

–Delivering lessons in all areas of the curriculum

–Implementing the curriculum with various learning strategies where the children can use their creativity and imagination to learn

–Providing a safe and positive environment for the children

–Attend staff meetings and training days

The right candidate will be required to have a trial day at the school. Please only apply if you CAN start work ASAP
