About the Role

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a creative and enthusiastic Primary Maths Intervention Tutor to help primary–aged learners strengthen their mathematical understanding and develop confidence in the classroom.

The successful tutor will deliver engaging, age–appropriate sessions tailored to individual learning needs, helping pupils consolidate foundational skills and make progress towards their learning targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one–to–one Maths intervention and tuition

Support pupils with number recognition, calculations, times tables, fractions and problem–solving

Identify areas requiring further development

Use practical activities and differentiated resources to support understanding

Monitor progress and maintain a positive, encouraging learning environment

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

QTS, PGCE or equivalent relevant teaching qualification desirable

Experience supporting primary–aged pupils

Strong foundational Maths knowledge

Experience delivering intervention or personalised learning support

Patient, adaptable and able to make learning engaging

Essential Requirements:

Right to work in the UK

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain the required clearance
