Part-Time Year 5 Teacher (Immediate Start - July 2026)

Barnet Borough, North London

A popular and oversubscribed two-form entry primary school in the London Borough of Barnet is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis with an immediate start, continuing until the end of the academic year in July 2026.

The exact working days are to be confirmed, but are likely to be 2-3 days per week.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative environment, led by an established, highly dedicated, and committed Senior Leadership Team. The school prides itself on its inclusive ethos, strong community links, and focus on high-quality teaching and learning.

The current Year 5 class are settled and making good progress. They respond best to teachers who provide clear structure and strong behaviour management-someone who is firm but fair, positive, good-humoured, and able to set and maintain clear expectations for behaviour. xjnqpsq They are a lovely group of children who enjoy learning.

The successful candidate will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be a qualified teacher

Have experience in Key Stage 2 (Year 5 desirable)

Demonstrate strong classroom practice and effective behaviour management

Be able to commit to the role until the end of the academic year

Be passionate about delivering engaging and inspiring lessons

Work well as part of a team and contribute positively to school lifeThe school offers:
