The role: Mechanics Teacher

Full responsibility for delivering Mechanics Teacher duties at BTECs levelForm tutor responsibility for 5 pupils delivering PSHEProviding engaging and relatable lessons that chime with students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs to encourage them to access learning in and out of the classroomImplement behaviour support strategies under the guidance of the SLT and pastoral teamBuild strong, positive relationships with students, acting as a consistent and trusted adultWork to develop students' emotional literacy, resilience, and social skillsCollaborate with TAs, therapy teams, parents/carers, and external agencies to provide holistic supportThe Ideal Mechanics Teacher

We welcome Mechanics Teacher applications from individuals who:

Hold QTS, QTLS, DTTLS, PTTLS, KTTLS or have a pathway to achieving this within 12 monthsMechanics Teacher experience in a UK settingHave experience working with children or young people with behavioural and emotional needs (school–based experience desirable)Are calm, patient, and able to de–escalate challenging situations effectivelyHave excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAre resilient, reflective, and committed to continuous professional developmentUnderstand the importance of inclusion and safeguarding in educationAdditional Mechanics Teacher Benefits
