Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary School | Redbridge, Ilford
£120 – £135 per day (dependent on experience) | Full-time | ASAP or September Start
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Redbridge (Ilford) is looking to appoint a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team.
This role is available to start ASAP or from September, offering flexibility for the right candidate.
The Role
As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will be required to lead whole-class sessions, cover lessons in the absence of the teacher, and provide targeted support to pupils.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1, or KS2
Provide whole-class cover when required
Support small groups and individual pupils to raise attainment
Work closely with teachers to support lesson delivery
Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment
Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environmentRequirements
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
Previous experience working in a primary school setting
Confident delivering lessons and managing a classroom
Strong behaviour management skills
Excellent communication and organisational xjnqpsq skills
