Description

EYFS Teaching Assistant – Reception Class in a Primary School

Location: Hemel Hempstead, HP2

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, term time only

Pay: £105 – £110 per day

A lovely and supportive primary school in Hemel Hempstead (HP2) is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Reception class. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a welcoming environment where every child is encouraged to thrive and develop a love of learning.

Responsibilities:

*

Support the class teacher in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

*

Assist in planning and setting up engaging, play-based learning activities.

*

Provide individual and small group support to pupils to promote learning and development.

*

Contribute to observations and assessments of children’s progress.

*

Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.

*

Support children with personal care needs as required.

*

Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.

Requirements:

*

Experience working within the EYFS, ideally in a Reception class setting.

*

A good understanding of the EYFS framework.

*

An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

*

A genuine passion for supporting children’s early learning and development.

*

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
