Duties as a 121 Teaching Assistant:

Providing consistent 1:1 support in lessons and around the setting

Supporting engagement, focus, and participation in learning activities

Implementing strategies to support ADHD and Autism-related needs

Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation

Helping the student develop confidence, independence, and social skills

Liaising with teaching staff and SEND professionals to ensure appropriate support is in place

Building a positive and trusting relationship with the studentIdeal 121 Teaching Assistant:

Previous experience supporting children or young people with ADHD and Autism

Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

Patient, calm, and resilient approach

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to build positive relationships and maintain professional boundaries
